1. Skipa á betri leið - Personal Development
    1.a. Establish daily/short term goals
    1.b. Establish long term goals
    1.c. Establish a plan of action for reaching your goals, with a timeline of 'steps to reach said goals'
         i.e. by Wed I will buy garb, by Saturday I will complete my new tunic which will help me reach my goal of having cool garb, by Saturday next week I will finish my pants and complete my goal of having cool garb

2. Sjálf-lét - Self _Expression
    2.a. Scribe daily one's thoughts/feelings or express yourself vocally
    2.b. Analyze and interpret your thoughts & writing to gain a better understanding of yourself
 

3. Raun - Experience
    3.a. Gain new experience in life, try new things, sign up for workshops, take classes, seek new knowledge, etc
    3.b. Teach & share your knowledge with those that are interested, run workshops/classes.  Do something with this knowledge!
 

4. Metnaðr - Respect
    4.a. Respect yourself
    4.b.  Treat others with the respect you would ask for yourself.

    4.c . Avoid gossip, make it known you don't approve of or participate in gossip.
 

5. Norse Culture

    5.a. Study the poetry & writings of the Vikings/Old Norse.

    5b Study the lifestyles of the Old Norse, how did they live what did they look like, etc.

    5.c. Make use of this knowledge, create something in the traditional way of the Viking, example : make a set of tweezers an ear spoon out of bone.

    6.a. Be patient with yourself and others

    6b recognize your 'hot buttons,' recognize when you're losing your patience,

        and take action to resolve the situation before you lose it
 

7. Amtgard Persona

    7.a. Develop a ' Viking ' persona & history for Amtgard

    7.b. Create ' Viking ' garb

    7.c. Utilize resources to create a historically accurate persona/garb

8. Hýski - Family
    8.a. This household is a family, we are friends/sisters/brothers within and outside of Amtgard.

    8.b.  We are honest with each other and treat each other with respect

9. Fór þat sem líkligt var - Attainment

    9.a. There really is no 'household' type for Vetra Skald, but more "guidelines" as to how a person should act and carry themselves.  what a person should look forward to, or to push themselves to accomplish (such as making garb, or learning culture, showing respect, etc.) these are things that all people should strive for but this is a household or "brotherhood" of others with the same thought to help all to "Attain" the heights listed.  Our service is to each other in helping whenever needed.
